1. Preparation method: Using a microwave to make ginger powder paste
Equipment/materials preparation: microwave oven, scale, measuring cup, organic dried ginger powder, ginger soup (or water).
2. Production Process:
① The ratio of organic ginger powder to water is 1: 5 by volume and 1:10 by weight.
② Be sure to stir the mixture until it is even.
③ To make ginger powder paste for external use using a microwave oven: the amount of ginger powder to be heated each time should not be less than 5 grams. The heating time of ginger powder paste made from 5 to 10 grams of ginger powder is about 3 to 5 minutes, and it is heated to a creamy and dense paste. The heating time required will differ for microwave ovens with different power. (Diagram 1)
Diagram 1: The heating time for making ginger powder paste using 5~10 grams of ginger powder is approximately 3~5 minutes
④ For internal use or enema: the ratio of ginger powder to ginger soup (or water) is 1:5 to 1:7 by volume and 1:10 to 1:12 by weight. The heating time for making ginger powder paste using 5 grams of ginger powder is about 1 to 2 minutes. The mixture should be heated to a slightly diluted paste. (Diagram 2)
Diagram 2: The heating time for making ginger powder paste using 5 grams of ginger powder is approximately 1~2 minutes
Points to be noted:
1. The guiding principle for making ginger powder paste is to cook the dried ginger powder thoroughly until there are no granules. As the function of each microwave oven is different, the heating time and ratio stated above are for reference only and are not absolute
2. Scoop the ginger powder paste with a small clean spoon for use. If it is not used within two days, store it in the refrigerator. For subsequent use, remove from the refrigerator and reheat in a microwave oven or steamer prior to use.
3. If the hot and warming nature of the ginger powder paste needs to be further enhanced, you can add a certain proportion of fine chili powder to the ginger powder, or boil chili or chili with Sichuan pepper (huajiao) in water for two hours, then use the concentrated soup to make the ginger powder paste instead of using ginger soup or water.
